PAVER RESTORATION
Paver Restoration in North Brevard County
Cloudy, flaking, or faded pavers are usually fixable. Restoration strips what failed, takes the surface back to clean paver, and gets it ready to be sealed properly.
BEFORE YOU REPLACE THEM
Most tired pavers are not worn out. They are coated.
The white haze, the flaking patches, the areas that look permanently wet in the wrong way — that is almost always a sealer that failed, not a paver that died. Under it, the paver is usually fine.
Restoration is the work of getting back to that paver. Failed coating comes off, embedded dirt and organic growth come out, and stains are addressed where they can be. What is left is a surface that can take a new seal and hold it.
It is also the honest answer to a common question: a lot of paver problems get quoted as replacement when what they need is a strip and a reseal at a fraction of the cost. We will tell you which one you are looking at.

HOW THE JOB RUNS
Strip it, clean it, then seal it
-
01
Free on-site estimate
We identify what is actually on the paver — failed sealer, organic growth, or plain dirt — and scope the work in writing.
-
02
Remove what failed
Old coating is taken off. This is the step that cannot be skipped and the one most often skipped.
-
03
Deep clean
The paver itself is cleaned out, not just rinsed off, so the new sealer bonds to paver instead of to grime.
-
04
Seal on a later visit
Once fully dry, the surface is sealed. See paver sealing for finish options.
Paver sealing takes two visits
Paver sealing is a two-visit job. Pavers must be completely dry before sealer is applied, so cleaning happens on one visit and sealing on another. The seal date depends on weather; we’ll reschedule rather than apply sealer in conditions that will compromise it.
What we don't do
We don’t clean roofs; shingle, tile, or metal. That’s a deliberate decision about the work we put our name on, not a limit on equipment. We also don’t install, repair, or re-level pavers.
COMMON QUESTIONS
Questions we get asked
How do I know my sealer has failed?
The usual signs are a white or milky haze, patches that flake or peel up, a surface that feels tacky, or a finish that looks blotchy — shiny in some spots and flat in others. Any of those means the coating, not the paver, is the problem.
Do I always need restoration before sealing?
No. Pavers that have never been sealed, or that were sealed well and are simply dirty, often just need cleaning and sealing. Restoration is for surfaces carrying a failed coating or damage that a normal wash will not touch.
Will restoration bring the original color back?
Usually most of it. Color that looks lost is often just trapped under haze and grime. Genuine UV fade in the pigment is permanent, but sealing afterward deepens and evens out what is there. We will set a realistic expectation at the estimate rather than promise you new pavers.
Can you fix pavers that have sunk or shifted?
No. We do not install, repair, or re-level pavers. If the base under yours has moved, that is a hardscape contractor’s job — and it should be done before anyone seals the surface.
How long does restoration take?
Stripping a failed coating takes longer than a straight cleaning, and the sealing still happens on a separate visit once everything is dry. We will give you the realistic day count with your written estimate.
