PAVER SEALING

Paver Sealing in Mims, Titusville & North Brevard

A clean paver is only half the job. Sealing is what keeps the color, holds the joint sand, and makes the next wash easier. Applied by a certified sealer applicator.

WHAT SEALING ACTUALLY DOES

Protection you can see, and protection you can’t

Florida is hard on pavers. UV fades the pigment, summer storms drive sand out of the joints, and anything that spills — oil, rust, fertilizer, red clay — soaks straight into an unsealed surface. Sealer puts a barrier between the paver and all of it.

The visible part is color. A sealed paver reads richer and more even, either with a wet-look sheen or a natural matte finish that simply looks like a clean, well-kept paver. We’ll show you both at the estimate so you are choosing a finish, not guessing at one.

The part you don’t see matters more. Sealer helps lock joint sand in place, which is what keeps pavers from shifting and what makes the surface far less hospitable to weeds and ants. It also means the next cleaning is a wash rather than a restoration.

HOW THE JOB RUNS

Cleaning on one visit, sealer on the next

  1. 01

    Free on-site estimate

We look at the pavers in person, talk through wet-look versus matte, and put the scope and price in writing. No phone quotes.

  2. 02

    Clean and prepare

The surface is cleaned and any failed coating dealt with first. Sealer over a dirty or flaking paver locks the problem in.

  3. 03

    Dry time

Pavers have to be completely dry all the way through. That is a separate day, and the weather decides which one.

  4. 04

    Seal and cure

Sealer is applied at the coverage rate the product calls for, then given time to cure before the surface goes back into use.

Paver sealing takes two visits

Paver sealing is a two-visit job. Pavers must be completely dry before sealer is applied, so cleaning happens on one visit and sealing on another. The seal date depends on weather; we’ll reschedule rather than apply sealer in conditions that will compromise it.

What we don't do

We don’t clean roofs; shingle, tile, or metal. That’s a deliberate decision about the work we put our name on, not a limit on equipment. We also don’t install, repair, or re-level pavers.

COMMON QUESTIONS

Questions we get asked

Why does paver sealing take two visits?

Because sealer applied over damp pavers will haze, cloud, or peel. Cleaning drives water deep into the paver and the joints, and that has to come back out before anything is applied on top of it. We clean on one visit and come back to seal on another.

What happens if it rains on the seal date?

We reschedule. We would rather move your date than apply sealer in conditions that will compromise it, because a bad seal costs far more to strip off than it did to put on.

Wet look or matte — which should I pick?

Wet look deepens the color and adds a sheen, like the paver just got rained on. Matte brings the color back without the shine and reads as a clean, natural surface. It is a preference, not a performance difference, and we will show you both at the estimate.

Can you seal brand-new pavers?

New installs need time to cure and to let efflorescence work its way out before sealer goes on. Have us out and we will tell you honestly whether yours are ready or whether you should wait.

My pavers were sealed before and it looks cloudy or is peeling. Can you just seal over it?

No. A failed coating has to come off first, which is paver restoration. Sealing over failing sealer traps the problem and it will look worse in a year than it does now.

Do you repair or re-level pavers?

No. We clean, restore, and seal. We do not install, repair, or re-level pavers, and if that is what your surface needs first we will tell you so at the estimate.

What does paver sealing cost?

It depends on square footage, the condition of the surface, and whether restoration is needed first. That is why we quote on site rather than over the phone. The estimate is free.
